THE POWER OF// "HANUMANASANA" // by Kelly Mason

HANUMANASANA

“Monkey pose”

This posture gains extreme flexibility to the thighs, hips & hamstrings. It also tones and relaxes the legs muscles as well as lengthening them.ead on the floor while working into the backs of your hamstrings. when watching T.V stretch while watching - I promise it becomes normal to you are not so long. All these little moments that you get your muscle memory warmed up will for sure help quicken the way to you obtaining such postures… … … hen performing this asana.

I think that it is also safe to say that even though I have a daily Yga practice im not getting my body into majorly advanced postures all that often - I mean for this moment why? My intention for my regular practice is to keep my Joints healthy, my body open and as unrestricted as possible and to keep my mind calm so striving too much to keep putting my body over and over into advanced positions with no intent is kinda out of the question for me at this time.

But the pose itself is very beautiful and impressive to look at, especially if a man is performing the pose - its al the more impressive to me. its also one I do (as I have said love & hate) really love to explore and be with from time to time and even though the posture is rather intense the release you feel when you come out of the posture and the way you body feels for the rest of you day is something is for sure to be recognised when performing this asana.

If you aren't yet in full hanuman please take you time, stretch consistently and you'll be there in no time at all. A tip, when you are reading, read on the floor while working into the backs of your hamstrings. when watching T.V stretch while watching - I promise it becomes normal to you are not so long. All these little moments that you get your muscle memory warmed up will for sure help quicken the way to you obtaining such postures…
