Salma shares with 'by equilibrio felice' her thoughts on Mindfulness ...

"For me, mindfulness is being totally aware of where my mind goes and how I experience the world around me.

It is extremely important to be aware of your thoughts, the quality of them, the habits, where the mind goes and how we react to situations. "

So tell by equilibrio felice, who is Salma?

"Salma is brave, strong, intuitive, creative, curious, explorer.

Life has shaped her in many ways she find somewhat confronting, yet challenging and forming.

She is energetic, and wants to experience the most. To taste the essence of this life. She has fought with her demons, just to realise there is not need to fight, just to accept and take the best.

Trying to feel more comfortable inside her skin. I am who every one is. And my purpose is the same as yours"

How did you know you had found your Design, Purpose, Being?

"I imagined myself doing that purpose for my whole life, and felt calm and content with it. I continuously ask myself if I see myself doing this in several more years, and the answer is yes"

Do you have any words for those trying to find their being/expression?

"Be honest to yourself, choose what suits best with your personality, your values, your desires.

Stop thinking of others when taking decisions. You are alone. And you are the person to make happy first than all"

What are some of the struggles you have faced on your path?

"Many many… Specially familiar issues, those that haven’t been healed by my mother or my grandmother. Issues that now, I believe I'm the one to help to heal and solve them. For them, for me, and for my future children and their children"

Describe your everyday rituals & routines...

"Wake up, kiss my husband, light some incense, sage or Palo Santo to purify the energies and clear the mind, brush teeth, drink 2 cups of water, brew green tea or coffee, quick body stretching, having light breakfast, and up to work!

Then at evening, I do my yoga practice"

What do you do to keep Motivated & Focused?

"Life is not easy, but there is a reason why we all are here, living our lives, and we have to make the best out of it.

Grow, evolve into your best version. I want to live my dreams, for I am the one and only that can for fill them. Nobody will come and live your life"

How do you spend your free time?

"Reading, playing with some yoga postures, playing with my dog, Fiona"

How do you find Balance?

"Through Yoga. Being in quietness and solitude in a clean, aired space. There is when I feel more balanced. However, balance goes on and off. Its not constant, and continuously I have to work hard to attain it.

But most of all, it is important maintaining a balanced state of mind, at least through ACCEPTANCE, gratefulness, patience and changing the quality of your thoughts from negative to positive.

We don’t need to be linear, but try to make the mind less oscillating"

What are your thoughts on mindfulness?

"It is extremely important to be aware of your thoughts, the quality of them, the habits, where the mind goes and how we react to situations.

For me, mindfulness is being totally aware of where my mind goes and how I experience the world around me.

The next step would be starting to control the mind, or better said, to train the mind little by little.

Mindfulness brings us back to balance. To be above the fluctuations of dualities"

What can we find you indulging in?

"Oversleeping; Cheese; Pasta; contemplating Nature "

Whats next for Salma Haffira?

"I find myself in a crossroads right now. I thank life for the beautiful possibilities its giving me. Thinking and feeling what would be the best for me, for my fulfilment, for my husband, and for my present and future family.

I will give the best I have to obtain what I want but at the end, time and God will define what is the best for me at this moment.

What I want for start, is moving to another country. Experience new airs and new energies. Explore myself better. I'm between deepening my studies, experience, practice and career in Yoga, which I've been building for the past two years; or to start a new adventure of going back to University to study my biggest passion, Architecture.

Which ever way, would be in a foreign country. Definitely. "

Salma reflects on how she feels about what's next for her...

"I thank life for the beautiful possibilities its giving me. I will give the best I have to obtain what I want but in the end, time and God will define what is the best for me at this moment. "
